I HATE most things involved with physical therapy.

The unbelievable people here took all that away the moment I walked in. The receptionist is one of the warmest and kindest people I have ever met. The service I have received is exceptionally personal and personable. I feel better each time I go and it’s only in part of the Physical therapy. The people and atmosphere they provide is all a part of it for me.

I was sent to PT for neck pain treatment. My appointment and all other follow-ups were set up easily and well maintained by Mary at the front desk. The facility was clean. Protocol for infectious disease control was observed. Mathew, the therapist who attended to me exhibited high professional standards and knowledge in his field of practice.

After the initial assessment of my neck condition he prescribed and explained a treatment plan for me. Before each session he took time to re-examine for progress and always welcomed my feedback.

I first went to Matt about 2 yrs ago for severe arthritic knees. The treatment plan that Matt gave me helped tremendously that my knees are now so strong, l hardly have flare-ups anymore. Matt is very knowledgeable, professional, and caring. As a result of my first treatment with Matt, it was a no-brainer that l would go back to his care and BOY, am l glad l did! I recently returned to Matt for Bursitis in my shoulder that has been bothering me since Nov 2020, after JUST a week of Matt’s recommended exercises, l already feel 75% better. Matt takes genuine interest in you and puts you at ease. He remembers every interaction with you because he is genuinely invested in the person. I was pleasantly surprised that he remembered me from my last treatment with him like l was there yesterday. That kind of genuine care and investment is very rare these days! From the outset, Matt took an immediate, careful and thorough approach to helping me with my rehab. He explained things clearly, and was encouraging throughout the process, always willing to go the extra step, whether it’s answering my questions in emails on days I wasn’t there to recommending other things I could to do improve my health (such as which inexpensive recumbent bike would best suit my needs.) Everyone there is respectful and helpful, as well as cognizant of mask and social distancing requirements too. The staff at Compleat Rehab are top notch! I worked with Megan and Britt, and was blown away by the one on one attention. Having been done physical therapy before with other providers, I found it incredibly helpful to work with the same therapist every time. Megan had a plan to approach my therapy, and was able to implement it effectively over time. We didn’t have to spend 10 minutes at every session to review what I did in the previous session because I worked with the same person every time. The only time I didn’t work with Megan was over the holidays when she was on vacation, and I worked with Britt. She was fully updated on my therapy and was able to implement the plan Megan had put together seamlessly. I highly recommend Megan, Britt, and the whole staff at Compleat Rehab!

I was referred to Compleat Rehab in Locust before and after my shoulder surgery. This was my first time needing PT, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff were wonderful! From check-in to check-out, they were professional, friendly, and great at what they do. Kelsey was my primary therapist and she was excellent! I actually looked forward to my PT appointments. I have just completed a phenomenal physical therapy experience at Compleat Rehabilitation. I did not know what to expect on my first visit, but after the Physical Therapist worked with me, I felt good about going forward. I never wanted to give up….at times it was painful due to my level of pain, but as I began to heal from my injury, I understood why it was done in the manner in which a specialist would choose to get you feeling better and without pain. I am especially grateful to the receptionist, Danielle, who was diligent in contacting me before each session, as well as expedient in all requests made. I have not found one reason to complain.

In my experience, the South Gastonia staff is top notch. Whether it be a billing issue, a scheduling change, or checking me in for an appointment, they have shown great professionalism and courtesy each time I have visited their facility.

The South Gastonia staff provides a great atmosphere, keeping the mood light and the facility clean. They take great strides to sanitize equipment after each client’s use and they always wear their masks properly, which eliminates concerns for those worried about the spread of germs.

Mat Ashe has shown excellent knowledge of his field of expertise. From my first visit he has not given me one reason to feel uncomfortable or feel like I would not be able to trust him with my care. Any time I have had an issue with my recovery, whether it was an issue with muscle cramping, extreme soreness, or even me overcompensating with other muscles to slow down my progress, he has been able to quickly assess and address the problem to get me back on the road to recovery. He has not hesitated to try new methods to help me move forward in the healing process when I struggled to complete a task or when a method was not as successful as we might think it should have been. Since I am a diabetic, he has had the challenge of my body not healing as quickly as others but he has been a real trooper, continuing to encourage me and help me in any way he can. He has demonstrated great patience and genuine concern for the well-being of his clients.

In the 6+ months I have been going to physical therapy at the South Gastonia location, I have not found one reason to complain. I will continue to use them in the future should I have a need for their services and will give a rousing recommendation for Mat and the rest of the South Gastonia team to anyone in need of rehabilitation!

Matt is my HERO!

Everyone at Union road location is so kind, professional and supportive, and physical therapist Matt is my HERO! I’ve been seeing Matt for much of the past year, 1st dealing with a hip issue that my doctor misdiagnosed (and that Matt correctly diagnosed!) and then later rehabbing after an extensive ankle/foot surgery. Surgery had a few unexpected complications, but Matt was always there helping me, and reassuring me that I’d get through! I know I’m able to walk normally and without pain today because of Matt. Such a thoughtful, kind, and thorough professional! I highly recommend!

Compleat Rehab was the first effective rehab I have received. After the second surgery I had on my ankle, (because there were issues with both the surgery itself and the old rehab place), these guys did the impossible and got me back into fighting shape FASTER than my first surgery, even though the second one was a revision was supposed to take much longer to recover from. I had a very positive rehab experience at Compleat Rehab South Gastonia clinic. I had physical therapy at this facility following total knee replacement surgery.
